The XRP cryptocurrency is currently navigating a significant trendline that has persisted for several years, signifying a potential bullish trend. Despite this optimistic outlook, concerns loom regarding a possible decline, particularly if the price fails to maintain its position above this crucial level.
Crypto analyst CrypFlow points out that the XRP trendline, which has been active since 2017, remains intact as prices hover well above $1.2. This stability suggests that bullish momentum is still present; however, the importance of a breakout cannot be underestimated.
For XRP to sustain its upward momentum, a decisive breakout is necessary. According to CrypFlow, two critical conditions must be fulfilled for this to occur. Firstly, XRP needs to breach a descending resistance level that has been in place since 2025. As long as this resistance holds, the asset’s trajectory remains bearish. A move towards $2 would serve to invalidate this bearish trend.
Secondly, it is vital for the XRP Relative Strength Index (RSI) to overcome its current downtrend. Achieving a breakout above the $2 threshold would signify that sufficient momentum exists for the cryptocurrency to progress toward its previous peak of $3.8 experienced in 2018.
Should the bullish forces fail to secure a breakout in the near term, a shift in control towards bearish sentiment could ensue. If this happens, XRP risks losing its multi-year trendline and could decline below the $1 mark.
Once the price breaches this level, the potential for a further drop increases significantly. CrypFlow emphasizes a ‘discount zone’ for XRP, identified in the $0.6 to $0.8 range, where it may appear inexpensive to buyers. Nevertheless, the analyst is optimistic that once the decline ends, prices will likely rebound.
The current situation for XRP highlights the delicate balance between maintaining a bullish trend and the threat of a significant downturn. The coming days will be crucial in determining the asset’s trajectory and market positioning.
