On March 26, 2026, Trust Wallet unveiled a new tool called the Agent Kit, enabling developers to integrate artificial intelligence into cryptocurrency transactions without compromising user control. This advancement allows AI agents to conduct real transactions across an array of over 25 blockchains while ensuring that users maintain ownership of their wallets.
The Agent Kit offers two distinct configurations for developers. The first allows for the establishment of a specific wallet designed for AI activities, where users can set permissions ahead of time. This setup enables AI agents to automate strategies such as dollar-cost averaging, limit orders, and price alerts without requiring user approval for every individual transaction.
Alternatively, the second configuration creates a link between an AI agent and the user’s existing Trust Wallet via WalletConnect. In this scenario, the AI suggests transactions and awaits user authorization before proceeding, thus maintaining the user’s custodial rights.
This launch follows closely behind Trust Wallet’s Developer Portal, which became available just a week earlier, offering read-only access to crypto data from over 100 blockchains, such as live token prices, metadata, and on-chain risk indicators. The introduction of the Agent Kit enhances the portal’s capabilities by allowing action, rather than mere observation.
Supported networks at launch include Ethereum-compatible chains, Bitcoin, Solana, BNB Chain, Cosmos, TON, Aptos, Tron, NEAR, and Sui, marking Trust Wallet as a leader in AI wallet infrastructure across multiple blockchains.
The tool incorporates the Model Context Protocol (MCP), which developers utilize to link AI technologies with external platforms. Users can create a fully functional AI agent in under 15 minutes, demonstrating the tool’s ease of use.
Key features of the Agent Kit include token swaps, automated strategies, limit orders, ENS resolution, and ERC-20 approvals, among others. Additionally, it provides portfolio tracking and a REST API for deeper integrations.
Felix Fan, the CEO of Trust Wallet, emphasized that AI agents require a secure framework to operate safely within users’ financial ecosystems. He highlighted that the Agent Kit equips developers with the necessary tools to create agents that function according to user-defined rules.
With over 220 million downloads, Trust Wallet aims to solidify its role as the self-custody infrastructure for a financially empowered AI, allowing users to leverage AI capabilities within their cryptocurrency workflows without relinquishing asset ownership.
In the coming months, Trust Wallet plans to integrate AI features directly into its mobile app, offering insights, automated strategies, and personalized alerts to users. A future Agent Marketplace is also in development, where developers will be able to publish reusable strategies and trading bots for users to implement directly within their wallets.
