A moderator, known by the handle ‘Hard Forked,’ took action by instructing Hoskinson to modify his display name or risk being removed from the chat. The moderator’s message was blunt, stating the need for a name change or imminent removal. Other members of the group even expressed doubts about the authenticity of his account, with one participant, Michael Lam, questioning whether he was indeed conversing with the real Charles.
