The cryptocurrency CFG, linked to the Centrifuge project, has witnessed a remarkable surge of over 60% following its recent inclusion on the Binance exchange for spot trading. This sudden price appreciation coincided with Binance’s announcement of three trading pairs: CFG/USDT, CFG/USDC, and CFG/TRY.
Trading for CFG is set to commence today at 13:00 UTC. However, users will be restricted from depositing CFG tokens until an hour has elapsed after trading begins.
The price of CFG skyrocketed from approximately $0.12 to nearly $0.20 almost instantly, before settling at around $0.181โa clear response to the market’s excitement regarding the new listing.
Such significant price movements often accompany listings on major exchanges like Binance, which are known to drive interest and investment in newly added tokens. The current performance of CFG raises questions about whether this upward trend can be maintained over the coming days.
Last week, a similar scenario unfolded when the Internet Computer’s token, ICP, experienced a 16% jump following its listing on the prominent South Korean exchange Upbit. After peaking near $3, ICP has since corrected to approximately $2.70, highlighting the often volatile nature of cryptocurrency price shifts in response to exchange listings.
Centrifuge’s CFG performance reflects the dynamic market reactions that new listings can stimulate, leaving investors keenly observing the token’s potential for sustained growth in the wake of such announcements.
