Mining Grid is commemorating the one-year anniversary of its Mining COREs by introducing a significant upgrade known as COREs Evolution. This enhancement marks an important development in the evolution of its Mining Race platform, which was initially launched in April 2025.
The introduction of COREs Evolution reflects Mining Grid’s commitment to improving user accessibility and competitiveness in Bitcoin mining. The upgrade has been designed taking into account user feedback, aiming to create a more streamlined and engaging experience for participants.
At the heart of this upgrade are digital units referred to as Mining COREs, which signify one terahash per second (TH/s) of mining power. Participants can activate these COREs through the Mining Race application, enabling them to engage in races and earn rewards without the complexities associated with traditional mining setups.
Two main racing formats have been established: Sprint Races, designed for newly registered COREs, and Block Races, which occur more frequently and include all active participants. Sprint Races allow for one CORE to secure a Bitcoin block hash each week, while Block Races are linked directly to newly mined Bitcoin, providing additional opportunities for reward collection.
With over 450,000 COREs taking part in the ecosystem during its first year, Mining Grid has introduced several enhancements to improve user interaction. Notable changes include the addition of auto-buy features, bundle purchase options, and updated reward structures to facilitate a smoother participation experience.
